What SFOM Offers

Being a member of SFOM means belonging to a supportive community of other families who can relate to the unique experiences that come with having twins, triplets or more! As a group, we offer a wide array of programming, events and resources to help families connect, learn about life with multiples, share their stories, cope with challenges and play and laugh together! Check out our Events page to see what SFOM events are coming up.

Below is an overview of the great programming that an SFOM membership entitles you to:

Connections with other members – online and in person!

One of the most valuable, daily benefits of membership is access to our members-only SFOM Members Forum Facebook group, our online neighborhood-based Member Directory, and our Parent Connections list. On Facebook members can post questions and exchange ideas about childcare, feeding, schools, rainy day activities and just about everything in between. Members also coordinate meetups with other families (via Facebook or email), to build friendships in real life.

Consignment Sale for Clothing and Gear

Over sixty SFOM families hold a twice per year consignment sale of their gently used children’s clothing and equipment, with items ranging from preemie to pre-teen. Shopping is open to the public, however, current SFOM members get early-entrance. Visit our sale page for the latest information.

Resources for New and Expectant Parents

SFOM offers many resources for families who have recently welcomed home their multiples, or are still eagerly awaiting their arrival.

  • Year One Program — free monthly drop in meeting for current or potential members who are currently expecting or are in their first year of parenting multiples
  • PEMS (Providing Early Multiples Support) groups — offered by SFOM through the PEPS Network™
  • Preemie Closet — no cost preemie clothes available for loan to current members

Visit our Expectant and New Parents page to learn more.

Family Events and Club Gatherings

SFOM hosts many family-friendly events, including our annual pumpkin patch outing, winter pool party, spring egg hunt, summer picnic,  annual summer camp-outs and more. Most events are free or reduced-cost to members and include activities for children of all ages.

Also, throughout the year, SFOM hosts club gatherings organized around a particular topic or speaker. At the meeting we may briefly review club business and will provide time for members to socialize and foster connections.

Meetups, Playdates and Outings

Through frequent organized tours, playground outings, and gatherings at members’ houses, SFOM members have many opportunities to meet other parents and provide social interaction for their kids.  Most playdates and outings are open to kids of all ages and siblings are always welcome.

Are you interested in hosting a playdate or meetup in your home or neighborhood? We are always looking for hosts to help organize events throughout Seattle. Hosting duties are easy; all you need to do is to commit to attend your event, greet club members, and help make everyone feel welcome. You choose the location and time that works for you! This is a great way to give back to the club AND make friends with families of multiples. If you would like to host a meetup, please email info@seattlemultiples.org, or join our members-only SFOM Members Forum Facebook group.

Parents-Only Activities

We know that getting out of the house for adults-only interaction in a huge part of maintaining your sanity as a parent of multiples. Currently, SFOM facilitates a book club and offers occasional meetups for dads, parents with “Multiples Plus” other children, as well as Parents Night Out meetups at local restaurants and breweries.
